In questo pezzo (come in molte altre canzoni che usano power chord a dire il vero) passo velocemente da un accordo all'altro facendo scivolare le dita lungo le corde. Mi chiedevo se fosse il metodo di esecuzione corretto, piuttosto che sollevare completamente le dita per non produrre il suono dello sliding (che proprio in questo caso non è indicato nella tab e quindi non va eseguito)?

Now, I posted an all power chord version of this song not too long ago
which is the way the song is played on the album (Nevermind).  When you
ask for the 'acoustic' version of this song I'm not sure what you mean.
Do you mean the open chord version?
     If so, then here's what you can do.  I'm sending at the end of this
letter the power chord version that I posted before.  The open chord
version has basically the same chords: E G D C for the lyrics and D C G
A# for the chorus. These are all simple major open chords chords and
when I play it this way, I use a barre major shape on the 6th fret for
the A# chord of the chorus.  I hope this helps, please let me know of
any problems.

Quando suoni canzoni con power-chords di diversa tonalità ed eseguiti sulle stesse corde, puoi fare scivolare le dita lungo le corde, a patto però che tu NON schiacci le corde contro la tastiera (altrimenti faresti uno "slide" che invece non c'è sulla Tab. Gli "slide" non riguardano solo singole note: possono essere eseguiti anche su power-chords).

La maggior parte dei chitarristi Heavy-Metal suona come ti ho descritto. Lo fa anche per un altro motivo. Siccome spesso le chitarre elettriche vengono collegate a potenti distorsori e vengono fatte suonare a volume sostenuto, fanno scivolare le dita sulle corde (senza schiacciarle contro la tastiera) anche per fare muting con la mano sinistra, per evitare sgradevoli rumori di sottofondo (corde che risuonano per "simpatia" e corde messe in vibrazione dal passaggio dell'aria).

Grazie Guit, chiarissimo come sempre!

Credo di aver capito adesso. Pensavo che la tecnica dello sliding fosse semplicemente il far scorrere le dita sulle corde producendo il leggero ronzio (da qui il mio dubbio), mentre come giustamente mi fai notare, consiste nel dar energia a quel leggero ronzio premendo durante lo scivolamento.

Che dire di James Hetfield? Era veramente in forma in quel live...

Ho controllato ora su diversi libri che descrivono le tecniche per chitarra solista Heavy-Metal e sono convinto di quanto scritto.

Spesso si intende con "slide" lo scivolamento di uno o più dita su una o più corde senza che queste vengano premute contro la tastiera. Molti chitarristi fanno così. Tuttavia, controllando, sono ancora più convinto di prima che il vero e corretto "slide" sarebbe si uno scivolamento di uno o più dita su di una o più corde, ma implicherebbe al tempo stesso una pressione sulle corde schiacciate contro la tastiera durante lo scivolamento. Cito testualmente la definizione di un tipo di slide indefinito:

Da notare che la pressione del dito viene rilasciata SOLO AL TERMINE dello slide. Questo comporta che per tutto lo slide ci dovrebbe essere pressione contro la tastiera.
